The Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering of Techno India College Of Technology has been playing a vital role in producing capable technologists & researchers of highest calibre to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electronics Engineering such as Integrated circuits and Embedded systems, Robotics,Tele-communications, Computer Networking, Control & Automation, Power systems & Power electronics. The infrastructure and Lab Facilities have been upgraded from time to time and adequate amenities have been added to the laboratories to provide the students with ample opportunities to learn, innovate and explore. The department has appointed reputed and distinguished faculty members, all holding M.Tech degrees from renowned institutes of India, most of them working on multiple projects associated with cutting edge technologies. Some of the project works have even been published in renowned national and international journals. The department is also opting to undertake research projects, sponsored by both the Government and the Industry as well as different collaborative projects by reputed Universities.
The Department was established in 2006 and has an annual intake of 60 students. Techno India College Of Technology is a renowned institute known for its academic excellence with graduate programmes running in diverse areas of various Engineering Departments. The engineering education at the undergraduate level with the four year B. Tech course is AICTE-approved and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology.(WBUT)
The faculties are well qualified to accept the new academic and research oriented challenges in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation. The labs working under the aegis of this department are the Digital Electronic Lab, the Analog Circuit Lab, Linear Integrated Circuits Lab, Sensor & Transducer Lab, Industrial Instrumentation Lab, Process control Lab and Telemetry & Remote control Lab. All the labs are well-equipped and fully functional .The Lab activities include experimental studies on model/prototype of structural elements and assemblies under various static and dynamic loading conditions synchronizing mostly with the industry needs.
The broad areas in which the Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Department focuses on are Electronics Design, Sensors and Actuators for Industrial Applications, Process control Engineering, Systems based on Microprocessors, Programming languages(C,Java,C++), Software Applications Systems(Android,iOS), Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems, Control Systems Engineering, Advanced Management Systems, Robots and Automated Production Systems, Intelligent Systems and Industrial Automation.
