On August 8–9, 2024, two teams from the IET-TMSL Student Chapter enthusiastically participated in the Tech-AI Hackathon, held at Techno Main Salt Lake. Sponsored by the IET with Rs. 10,000, the event was organised by the Departments of CSE (AIML), CSE (DS), and the Institution’s Innovation Council of TMSL. The hackathon focused on “AI-Based Application Domains” and aimed to encourage innovation and technical creativity among students.
Students from the TMSL-IET on-campus student chapter, Sneha Bandyopadhyay (EIE), Sharanya Roy (EIE) and Arighna Mukherjee (EIE) have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence as the winners of the prestigious event Think Tank, jointly organised by the Department of Applied Physics, University of Calcutta and the Applied Physics Alumni Association. The event was a key highlight of PHYSIYANTRIX 24, held on the 7th and 8th of September, 2024, showcasing innovation and excellence in the field of applied physics. This recognition underscores her outstanding performance and contribution, reflecting the high standards of academic and technical expertise celebrated during the event, and the team won a prize of 15,000 INR.
