Achievements of Students

The Department of Electrical Engineering boasts of students who continue to excel in academics and extra-curricular activities alike. Sumit Paul won the undergraduate university gold medal in 2016 and Ishita Ghosh was the recipient of the post-graduate (M.Tech) university gold medal in 2017. In addition, Saptarshi Bhattacharya and SrijitMajumdar had won the silver and the bronze medals respectively in 2012. Many of the former students are well placed in software giants such as IBM, Capgemini, Cognizant etc., as well as in organizations such as the Indian Railways, CESC Limited, WBPDCL to name a few. Students from the department are also associated as Faculty members in renowned institutions in India and abroad, and also in research positions in Apple and Mozilla. EE, TMSL believes in all-round development of its students and emphasizes and encourages the participation of its students in technical, management, sports and cultural events in the institution and beyond. Many a time, the students have made the department proud by bagging laurels in various events. The Department proudly shares some of the achievements:
